Roberto C. Rivera
Roberto Rivera is working at CASEL and studying the intersection of SEL, culturally relevant pedagogy, and youth voice. He is also a co-lecturer for Roger Weissberg's class "Psychology/Education 424: Social and Emotional Learning: Research, Practice, and Policy." Roberto is dedicated to making the movement of SEL available to both students and community members and is helping to construct a national alliance of organizations demonstrating best practice of SEL and Youth Voice. He is currently fulfilling his dream of receiving his Ph.D. in educational psychology studying SEL, a field he fell in love with while reading Daniel Goleman’s book Emotional Intelligence in 2001. Roberto is also a husband, father, and social entrepreneur.
