    Compendium of Preschool Through Elementary School Social‐Emotional Learning and Associated Assessment Measures (2010)

    This compendium, published by the University of Illinois-Chicago and CASEL, describes the tools to assess the social and emotional learning of preschool and elementary school students (i.e., five‐ to ten‐year‐olds), along with aspects of the contexts in which they learn and their learning behaviors.

    Safe and Sound: An Educational Leader’s Guide to Evidence-Based Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Programs (2005)

    This was CASEL’s first review of social and emotional learning (SEL) programs. The guide identifies 80 currently available programs and singles out 22 of them as “SELect,” i.e., meeting high standards for research and program developer support.

    This guide provides background on social and emotional learning (SEL), including the importance of SEL at home and at school for children’s healthy and positive development.     CASEL District Resource Center (2017)

    This resource was released in April 2017 and will be continually updated. It offers guidance and more than 500 tools and artifacts to implement social and emotional learning districtwide. All are based on and drawn from the actual experience of the 10 districts in CASEL's Collaborating Districts Initiative.
